The cow was seen for coliform mastitis in the paddock. She was unable to get up, with fever, hypokalaemia, mild hypocalcaemia and hypophosphataemia. The animal spent a whole night in the Air-cow cushion after receiving antibiotic treatment and an infusion. The next day, the cow was standing in the structure and moving around on her own.

The cow had a difficult calving and showed sciatic syndrome with milk fever. She was placed on the cushion and stayed there for 4 days, until she was able to stand on her own.
